Junior Conservancy
Engaging Morgan County’s youth in protecting special places for future generations…
The mission of the Junior Conservancy is to develop and sustain a conservation/preservation ethic in Morgan County’s youth through education, civic engagement, community service, and social events.
The Junior Conservancy offers high school students who reside in Morgan County the opportunity to become actively involved in protecting the County’s special natural, agricultural, and historic resources. Participants fulfill the roles of President, Vice-President, Secretary, and Reporter, and meet September through May on the second Sunday of the month. With guidance form the Madison-Morgan Conservancy staff and JC Committee (Maryann Dartnell, Emily Buck, and Rachel Kinsaul), Junior Conservancy Board Members create and execute their own conservation-related programming throughout the school year.
