Advocacy

Advocacy is an important and powerful catalyst for the conservation we want to see happen in Morgan County and in the South in general.  It’s educating decision makers on the impacts of their public policy decisions and helping them understand how people and communities will be impacted.

Because conservation is one of the truly bipartisan issues out there, we have seen recent success in advocating for the protection of natural, agricultural, and historic resources.

Recent Conservation Advocacy Successes:
The Great American Outdoors Act
Georgia Outdoor Stewardship Act

Thank you to all of our members who contacted your representatives about these recent issues!
