Did you know that the City of Madison has a city-wide TDR program? AND that this program may allow property owners to financially benefit from protecting their property.
TDR, or Transferable Development Rights, is a city ordinance designed to shift density (rooftops/houses) AWAY FROM important natural and historic resources TO areas identified as appropriate for development. Click here to read more about TDRs.
As part of our mission to provide education on conservation matters and to protect Morgan County’s special places, the Madison-Morgan Conservancy is reaching out to all the landowners within the City of Madison who may qualify for this program. To qualify as a “Sending Parcel,” a landowners property must meet certain criteria listed in the TDR ordinance.
If you would like to learn more about the TDR program and how it might benefit you, please contact us to make an appointment (between the hours of 9:00 am and 5:00pm) during one of the following days:
- Tuesday, October 24th
- Monday, October 30th

If you are not available to meet with us on then, we are happy to schedule another time to meet with you.
